Historically, Texas Children’s Global Health Network has provided learning experiences for over 100 learners (medical students, residents, and fellows) each year. These opportunities are available at Texas Children’s Global Health Network Centers of Excellence in Botswana, Malawi, Eswatini, and Lesotho. Learners are financially responsible for their own airfare, ground transport, meals, visas, and incidental expenses.

Spots typically fill 8-10 months in advance. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their CV, dates of availability and country preference.

We are in the process of resuming international elective placements after a pause during the pandemic, and we currently have limited availability to place learners as we work to scale up these opportunities.

Texas Children’s Global Health Network leads efforts that advance healthcare equity through innovative collaboration in care, education and research globally.
