Personal Statement
As a senior speech-language pathologist with specialized training in neurological communication disorders, I am passionate about providing evidence-based and patient centered therapy in the acute care setting. I believe in developing trust and rapport with patients and families to foster engaging, salient, evidence-based therapy and caregiver education for positive and functional outcomes.
Clinical Interests:
Acquired brain injury, Cognitive-Communication disorders, Dysphagia, AAC, Motor Speech disorders, Aphasia, Tracheostomy dependent patients, and Voice in the acute care setting.
Research Interests:
Evaluation and treatment of individuals in disorders of consciousness
