TIGEM and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital announce collaborative laboratory in Houston

HOUSTON -(November 16, 2010) - Through a formal agreement between Texas Children'sHospital and the Baylor College of Medicine, TIGEM now has a new location atTexas Children's Jan and Dan DuncanNeurological Research Institute (NRI).



This new Joint venture opens important new prospectives for TIGEM and ourscientists, through the establishment of an inter-institutional programTIGEM-Baylor focused on the study of Lysosomal StorageDisorders.The new TIGEM-USA laboratory will allow TIGEM researchers to establish fruitfulcollaborations with Baylor scientists and allow TIGEM graduate students andpost-docs to spend time at the NRI learning new techniques and having access toparticular instruments and facilities.

This newTIGEM-USA laboratory will further broaden TIGEM's scientific horizons and openexciting new opportunities for our scientists. This new joint initiative issponsored by the Beyond BattenFoundation.
