Texas Children's Hospital gains national recognition at the 56th Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the Society for Pediatric Radiology

HOUSTON - (May 15, 2013) - Physicians and researchers from the Department of Pediatric Radiology at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston will receive prominent acclaim during the 56th Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the Society for Pediatric Radiology held May 15 through 18, in San Antonio, Texas. Texas Children's Department of Pediatric Radiology will be presenting 21 abstracts this year, which is more abstracts than the hospital has ever presented in a single year, and more abstracts than any other institution will be presenting this year. The Society for Pediatric Radiology Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course will convene a national group of leading pediatric radiology practitioners and researchers. The conference will provide the opportunity for these participants to summarize the most current information on state-of-the-art pediatric imaging and the practice of pediatric radiology; describe and apply new technologies for pediatric imaging; discuss common challenges facing pediatric radiologists, and possible solutions; and evaluate and apply means of minimizing radiation exposure during diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapy.
