Texas Children's Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon raised more than $641,000 to support pediatric cancer treatment, research and education

HOUSTON - (Dec. 20, 2010) - Cox-Radio-Houston stations - The New 93Q, Country Legends 97.1 and 107.5 The Eagle - helped Texas Children's Cancer Center reach Houstonians via the airwaves to help raise more than $641,000 during the seventh annual Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon.


All three stations broadcasted live from Texas Children's Cancer Center for the two-day long Radiothon to help raise funds to support innovative research and treatment advances aimed at curing and preventing pediatric cancer and blood disorders. The money will also help facilitate patient care and education at Texas Children's Cancer Center - the largest pediatric hematology and oncology center in the nation.


The success of the two-day Radiothon can be accredited to the support of the presenting sponsors, Cox-Radio-Houston, along with Foresters and GDF SUEZ Energy Resources.

Helping the Cancer Center to reach this tremendous goal, one of the top supporters was the Snowdrop Foundation who generously gave a gift of $130,000.
