News

HOUSTON - (Oct. 4, 2012) - The prominent Houston-based obstetrics and gynecology practice, Partners in OB/GYN Care, has completed its move to the Texas Children's Pavilion for Women and is now seeing patients from its new offices on the seventh floor. The well-established practice offers comprehensive gynecology services and family-centered maternity and postpartum care.

Acquired by Texas Children's Hospital in 2010, Partners in OB/GYN Care is an integral part of the hospital's expansion into women's healthcare using a model that offers high-quality, comprehensive care in a premier facility that was designed to reflect what women want in a patient care environment.

"Since the beginning of our partnership with Texas Children's Hospital, we've been looking forward to moving into this outstanding new facility," said Dr. Bart Putterman, OB/GYN and one of the practice's founding partners. "The Pavilion for Women, which combines leading expertise, the latest treatments and technologies and a family-centered environment, ideally supports our mission of providing high quality care for our patients through the many stages of their lives."

Partners in OB/GYN Care is staffed by six physicians including Bart Putterman, M.D.; Lynn Hoffman, M.D.; Samuel Law, II, M.D.; Ava Erin Manning, M.D.; Susan Shi, M.D.; and Katie Bolt, M.D.

The practice is accepting appointments by phone at 713-335-0335.

Partners in OB/GYN Care is the second practice to relocate its offices to the Pavilion for Women. Baylor Obstetrics and Gynecology is located on the third floor and Women's Specialists of Houston is scheduled to complete its move to the new facility in early October.

"We are delighted to welcome Partners in OB/GYN Care to their new home in the Pavilion for Women," said Chanda Cashen, assistant vice president of Texas Children's Pavilion for Women. "The integration of leading OB/GYN practices is a key component of our vision to provide exceptional care to women, which also leads to better outcomes for babies."

Situated in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, the 15-story Texas Children's Pavilion for Women is one of the few hospitals worldwide to offer a full spectrum of maternal and fetal medicine services including an array of fetal diagnostic procedures and highly specialized fetal surgeries. Level II and Level III NICU care is provided in 36 private rooms, four of which are specifically designed to accommodate multiples. A two-story circular sky bridge connects the Pavilion for Women to Texas Children's West Tower and Clinical Care facilities, enhancing patient care by providing physicians, staff and patient families with rapid access to all patient care facilities.
