Texas Children's Cancer Center is leading the way in treating solid tumors and brain tumors

"The Brain Tumor Program at Texas Children Children's Cancer Center is one of the largest brain tumor programs in North America. Our goal is to make sure that patients that we see tomorrow have hope for the future" said Dr. Susan Blaney, Director of Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center.

"Our ability to learn about the cells, where cancer starts, the way those cells go wrong is now so vastly increased that we really understand at a molecular level why a lot of these cancers happen now," said Dr. Michael Taylor, Director of the Neuro-Oncology Research Program.

"I have hope— more hope than I've had at any time in my career—that we are going to be able to tackle this huge challenge of how to cure brain tumors," said Blaney.

"Our team here at Texas Children is going to make sure that Houston does more than its share. We're going to be a part of this and we're going to make the world a better place," said Taylor.
