All eligible Texas Children's Pediatrics practices receive highest Patient Centered Medical Home Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance

HOUSTON - (Nov. 25, 2013) - Texas Children's Pediatrics is proud to announce that all 47 eligible practices have received the highest Patient Centered Medical Home Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This prestigious and recognizable distinction celebrates patient care organizations which have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving quality care for their patients. In May, Texas Children's Pediatrics Corinthian Pointe was the first practice to receive NCQA's Patient Centered Medical Home 2011 Level 3 recognition, which is the highest level achievable for primary care organizations.


The 2011 NCQA program standards describe clear and specific criteria, and provide medical practices with information about organizing care around patients, working in teams, coordinating and tracking care over time, and continuously measuring and improving performance.
