 Baby Bistro

Support for breastfeeding moms

Texas Children’s Baby Bistro is a service to help support mothers who choose to breastfeed. We offer full breastfeeding evaluations with our international board-certified lactation consultants in addition to rental and purchase of supplies to facilitate an easy transition to breastfeeding at home. In keeping with our philosophy of family-centered maternity care, we want you to have all the tools you need to create a strong foundation for successful breastfeeding and bonding with your new baby.

Consultation and Support

Our board-certified lactation consultants are available to help with your breastfeeding needs both before delivery and after your baby is born. If you’re having problems breastfeeding, or just want to make sure everything is going well, call us at 832-826-8881. We’re happy to schedule an in-person appointment with one of our lactation consultants or connect you with a lactation consultation via phone so your questions can be answered.

The Baby Bistro is located on the third floor of the Pavilion for Women at 6651 Main St., inside of the Bella Luna Boutique.

Free weigh-ins

Stop by anytime you’d like to check your baby’s weight on our baby scale. No appointment needed.

Supplies

To support successful breastfeeding at home, we offer purchase and rental of helpful supplies.

Medela Symphony breast pumps and Baby Weigh scales are both available to rent. You can call 832-826-8000 to check on rental availability and fees.

We also carry breast pumps for rent or purchase, pumping supplies, and nursing bras. We have certified nursing bra fit specialists as well.
