Leadership at Texas Children's Hospital

Mark A. Wallace - President and CEO
Mark A. Wallace was appointed president and chief executive officer of Texas Children's Hospital in 1989. As a proven leader in health care, Mr. Wallace has influenced efforts at the national, state and local levels. He holds the distinction of being one of the few executives in the country who advanced to Fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) at the age of 35.


 

  In 1992, Mr. Wallace served as president of the Children's Hospital Association of Texas (CHAT) and as chairman in 2002-2003. He also served as chairman of the board of trustees of THA, the Texas Hospital Association, in 1998-1999 and currently serves on the board of trustees of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI). more
Dr. Mark Kline, Physician-in-Chief
Mark W. Kline, M.D., was appointed chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and physician-in-chief of Texas Children’s Hospital July 1, 2009. Dr. Kline has served as head of the Section of Retrovirology in the Department of Pediatrics and chief of Texas Children’s Hospital's Retrovirology Service since 1997 and is president and founder of the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) at Texas Children’s Hospital.  more
 
Dr. Dale Brown - Obstetrician/ Gynecologist-in-Chief
Dale Brown, M.D., was appointed as the first Obstetrician/Gynecologist-in-Chief of Texas Children’s Hospital in 2008. Dr. Brown became interim Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2006, and continues in that position. He serves as Principle Investigator of the Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) in the Department of OB-GYN for Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Brown also serves as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. more
 
Dr. Edmond Gonzales - Surgeon-in-Chief
Edmond T. Gonzales, Jr., M.D., was appointed as the first Surgeon-In-Chief of Texas Children's Hospital in 2008. He joined the Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine in 1974 and was appointed Chief of the Urology Service at Texas Children's Hospital that year. In 1988 he was appointed as Head of the Department of Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital. He is currently Professor of Urology, Scott Department of Urology, Baylor College of Medicine and holds the Edmond T. Gonzales Chair in Pediatric Urology.  more
